The 2018 GSPCA National Specialty took us to Boise, ID the end of April through the first week of May.

Boise is a beautiful city in a beautiful area, which for much of the county's residents is challenging to get to.   Many of the folks attending made an adventure out of the trip west, choosing their travel route to maximize sightseeing opportunities.  It made for a highly memorable trip.

Even before arriving in Boise, GCH TRF White River Stars Align At Sunrise "Gizmo" added to his growing list of titles stopping off in Salt Lake City to finish up the Fast CAT work he started in Georgia before leaving on this big trip.  Littermate TRF White River Stars Shining At Sunrise "Zena" logged her first legs for this venue as well.

We rocked the GSPCA  Obedience and Rally trials:  Gizmo completing both Beginner Novice and Rally Intermediate titles; Zena earning her Rally Novice, and CH T-Town N White River Oh What a Night JH "Frankie" trying Rally for the first time and coming out with the highest score in the trial!  Late breaking news (long story) is that CH White River Whipser Buy Low Sell High "Profit" also finished his Rally Advanced title.

Winning the National Futurity Stakes is a Breeder's dream which came true beyond our wildest dreams as CH White River Lone Gunman JH "Dillon" took top honors - pushed hard by Gizmo's second place in their Senior Dog class - and complimented beautifully by the lovely Zena crowned Best of Opposite Sex. Thank You Breeder Judge Nancy Ward of Newpoint Shorthairs.

We capped off our conquering march through the 2018 National Specialty events with Dillon earning one of just 7 Awards of Merit in the Best of Breed competition.  Quite an honor for an 18 month old twerp - definitely the youngest in the esteemed lineup. Thank You Breeder Judge Karen Nauer.
